No I am not joking. It will take a few runs to get used to the edges, but trust me it is much easier to learn than skating.

Where have you surfed mostly? I have only surfed in La Jolla. I skated before that but it's hard to say how much it helped compared to if I had never skated. I was pretty young but I would guess that it mostly helped with the aspect of just balancing yourself on a moving board.
