I started in TV 5 years ago on 6500 per annum!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I worked for hours and hours and hours thankfully, I learned the equipment ten times faster than anyone else.
Nobody seemed interested in my screenplay :(

but... the runners at our post production place are nice! they make us tea and get our lunch and bring us beer when we've been working till midnight for 5 days running.
they make us feel special, this we can sense through the bloodied veil of dehydrated eyes that haven't seen sunlight for weeks and the slavish attention to menial tasks that we immerse ourselves in, safe in the knowledge that we have GOOD, CREATVE jobs that others can only dream of.
