GOOGLE SAYS >The sandwich is a food item typically consisting of two slices of bread between which are laid one or more layers of meat, cheese, or other filling, together with optional condiments, sauces, and other accompaniments. The bread is often lightly buttered or covered in a flavored oil when it is baked, or added in the sandwich to enhance flavor.

And I've changed my mind now btw.

Pfft. 'Google'.
Sandwiches will forever remain within the domain of Englande and her Empyre; we shalle not let the virtual fabrications of some upstarte colony dictate that which is moste precyous to us!

Actually both of you are right. The essence in language is the intended meaning, which coressponds to the existing states of affairs, or facts, in the world (Wittgenstein). Thoughts expressed in language "picture" these fact. A not-so sectet code exchanged between participants in a conversation.
If you asked for a sandwhich and he gave you a whole one and you agreed with this, then you had reached a concensus on the use of language. If you asked for a sandwhich and he gave you a half one, then there's been a break-down in the exchange of the language as code. However the world of facts remains unchanged.
Other words, haven't you got better things to argue about?
