MTVs Real World is probably the most ironic of them all, when someone starts being real, they kick them off the show.

too funny! (both your continual errors with NT & the xmas card reference :)
- BuddhaHat0

Like most television, it's all about LAZINESS. In fact, it's success is the culmination of laziness. Instead of experiencing life, people are content to watch others experience it while they watch. Actually, they're content to watch other people PRETEND to experience life while they watch. some people depend on TV like oxygen.

How's this for irony...
Normally i'm a responsible drinker/driver, and don't drive over the limit. On the weekend, i decided to have a few more than normal, and leave my car at my friend's place overnight.
I got a call the next morning to tell me my friend's little sister came barreling around the corner of their street in her car, and crashed straight into mine... life has a sick sense of humour sometimes :(

does it say anything about the douchbags who watch that shit?
- Mimio0
It means that American audiences want succinct and outrageous spectacles/accidents to gawk at.
- pavlovs_dog0
what does it say about the american landscape, that even reality has to be faked?
- er0k0
thanks mg33 :)
and of course some are scarb..but you have to know what i'm trying to get at here bud :P
- er0k0
hah..yes that's a good point Mimio. i don't know anyone who really lives like any of these people..
- Mimio0
The irony is that it's called "reality."
- -scarabin-0
you think that shit's not preconcieved down to the smallest possible detail?
- mg330
That is good... Nice catch. :)

"Reality TV show writers seek more pay"Does no one else see the irony here? Since when is 'reality' TV scripted and need to be written by writers? I thought these shows were about real life unfolding..not pre-scripted dialogue and scenes? *laff
