I've been researching buying a mac mini purely for use as a digital recording studio. I was reading some reviews when I came across this review by some PC loving loser. Some of the stuff he says is priceless:
http://www.divisiontwo.com/artic…
"But its sleek look comes at the expense of the parallel port, serial ports, the PS/2 ports and the drive bays"
" And no floppy disk drive? Well, no wonder they got the unit to be so small."
"This is where the first noticeable problem with Apple design arises. While there is a Mac-style “donnnnggggg” when the Mini is first turned on, during normal operation the unit makes no sound whatsoever. This could make it very difficult for a novice user to know whether or not the computer is on."
Of course all of those things are negatives Oh no! a quiet computer. And what the hell am I going to do with no floppy drive? How can I get my Windows Paintbrush artwork to the printers!

A client of mine send me a floppy with some text on last year.. I haven't had a floppy drive since mid 90'ties so I went out and got a USB floppy drive for 20 bucks and put that on top of the bill to the client
He didn't get a "Do you fucking live in the stoneage" from me, and I got a floppy drive for free.
Which reminds me that I haven't had it out of the drawer ever since..

That Mac Mini is sooooo quiet...
"it took our techs about fifteen minutes before we realized the unit itself was operating normally and it was the monitor that was not plugged in properly."
Very Technical...

The guy is an idiot in PC circles as well. Welcome to the USB age pal, why is he even mentioning the parallel port, ps/2 ports, serial ports etc., even if he was reviewing a PC that would be lame.
He is obviously clueless to the fact that Mac abandoned floppies so long ago and it's not isolated to the Mac Mini. Also, he must consider the niche the Mini fills... if it was the ONLY offering from Mac then maybe one could be more critical at what it lacks.
It is also obvious he isn't qualified to review his own stool (which oddly comes out his mouth). To compare a Mini to a PC eMachine? Most PC users wouldn’t touch an eMachine with a 10 foot pole. Those are for grandma to check her email on.
BTW I am not a PC hater, I like them and own a couple, I just think this guy is a moron.

"Jorge Lopez is a DeVry graduate with an MCSE certification and is currently the Chief Software Reviewer at Divisiontwo.com's Technology Insider."
sounds like he's on the pc propaganda payroll...
likely the most uneducated review i've ever had the displeasure of reading...
incase you want to email him. i did.

"When I consider that a good deal of my time is spent running applications like Disk Defragmenter, Scandisk, Norton AV, Windows Update and Ad-Aware--none of which are available for the Mac platform--it doesn't make sense for me to "switch" to a Mac at this time."
welcome to the world of PC's!

why do people pay attention to this kind of stuff? I could bring up 30 threads on simiar content from people that talk sh*t about stuff from around the Net. It's pointless. Why listen to people. Make up your own mind.
