those fake guns were awesome. I had a SuperSoaker that got yanked off the shelves after about a month or two because it was so high-powered it was popping kids eyes out of their sockets. It held about a gallon or two of water and was about 2 1/2 feet long with a hole the size of my thumb.
My mom threw it out when I was away at college a few years back. I'll never forgive her for that.

Lego was my personal favourite toy of all time and I can't part with the huge bin that I have. It is still under my bed. Although I must say I like alot of the new lego just because its...Lego, evertime I go to a store and see it I feel the urge to buy it.

Kona,
I actually always thought that aircraft carrier was a myth. A schoolmate said he had one, but when we'd be at his house for Cub Scout meetings, he'd always say it was put away under the bed.
How big was it, like length of runway? Was it big enough for the seperate GI Joe F18 jet, or a different proportion altogether?

The carrier was huge, so was Cobra's Terrordome.

M.A.S.K. and He-Man were the shit. Also a big fan of matchbox cars.
A lot of 80s toys that are still around today got their start back then....that is to say, we weren't playing with a lot of toys left over from the 70s....and when they were in their infancy they were at their best. The 80s toys that have survived through to today suck ass.....too commercial and corporate and cross-promotional and "safe" and just too over-thought.

One of my favorites was the original NERF football.....that had the rifled spiraled grooves in them. Mine was half black and half red. It was great. Now they have these things that blinnk and have propellers and fucking motors and shit. The original was the best....it was innovative yet simple. AND MAN COULD I LAUNCH THAT SUCKA.....I could throw that thing like 60 yards. Actually I think the original NERF football might have been like '90/'91 but close enouigh.

i wanted a walkman so bad and i thought soundwave was a walkman, but you needed special tapes for him to play them
