in illustrator CS, is there a way to underline text in a text field....besides using the line tool?

don't think so in Illustrator. But I just found a work around...Create the underlined text in Photoshop. Then select it, copy, and paste into the text block in Illy. Your underlines should remain.

create a Charater Style.

if you use this thing they call Google you could find a pre made underlined text Style.

it's called a paragraph rule.
check it out in the dropdown menu of either the character or paragraph palette (can't remember which exactly)
