Hero's story is a complex one and told with breathtaking visuals with an emphasis on weapon fight choreography.
Iron Monkey is a reasonable kung fu movie choreography by Yuen Wo-Ping (Kung Fu Hustle, The Matrix, etc.) Donnie Yen and Yu Rong Gong totally kick ass albeit aided by wirework which isn't quite blockbuster quality but nonetheless entertaining. I would say that you won't be disappointed.

Way better than hero in my opinion, it's a lot more closer to the roots of kung fu movies, Hero is a good movie, but it's a bit closer to western cinema.
If you like kung fu movies you won't be dissapointed,
Iron Monkey 2 wasn't that good in my opnion.

A lot of the moves in Iron Monkey are sped up in editing. Donnie Yen matches up to Sammo Hung, the great old school fight anticipated as much as Jackie Vs Jet Lee.
