I am so poor I use stale bread for shoes that double as my lunch, the walk home is a nightmare and people throw glass in my path.

----Defenately Guccy, but if you read the document you will see that Im talking more about when you give up what you love for making money.
If you are making tons of money and you love what you do, hey! that is great.

I gave up too many jobs, good paying ones, to do what I want to do.
Working independently might not put me in the 6 figure thread but at least I call all the shots-
Best of all I get to work in my underwear.

[ ] moneyI don't think it has to do with whether you want money or not. Of course I want lots of money, but that's not why I do design. I could do some other job I hate and make lots of money. I picked design because I can make money doing something I love

Seriously, I have been employed at many different places, and I left all of them because they didn't make me happy. The last job I had was amazing, but I had to work a lot and the placement was only for the summer. The money was great too, but I actually liked working there, which made it all worth it.

i've recently turned down some ridiculously paid work cos i'd rather do stuff that i enjoy more. as long as you can make a living and enjoy what you're doing that's the main thing, i reckon.

Cash, cash and more cash. I love what I do but if I wasn't getting paid then I'd probably be too busy working some shitty job just to make money so I wouldn't have time left over to do what I love. So, why not get paid as much as I can for doing what I love to do.
In my opinion there's too many frustrated artists's that are posing as designers these days. If you want to be an artist then be an artist, if you're going to work in a commercial industry then drop the pretentious bullshit, do a good job and get paid well.
