awesome thanks peeps.. i love NT for this kinda after-hours chit.

even with 1/1 they would layout their plate with both sides of the piece on it so there is no difference really.

depending on the press, they may have to burn more plates - say if they print both sides at once... if not, they'll just re run othe first sheets, so it probably wouldn' tbe much more

3 on 3. The more people in an orgy the better.

wouldn't '3 0ver 3' be the same as '3 over 1' just 2 of the three colors would print on one side of the piece(not sheet).
with three colors total.

(Nov 7 05, 18:07)yeah i think you are right here.. the plates are already made (for the front) so doing the back 3C instead of 1C is just making better use of the press time...
err, i think.

would=wouldn't

"Don't forget that you have to pay for each plate."

why is every thread on newstoday bursting with sexual overtones?
- mayo0
don't forget though that each color plate costs
- doesnotexist0
iunno, with some places if you get one side, it dont matter if you get two sides color. it's the same if you get one or three.
ya dig?
research it i guess.

yeah i'm thinking what mayo's thinking...
plus the art has to be done tonight and 1 file repeated x2 is easier than 2 x1.
call me lazy :)
thx.

they will already have all 3 inks on the printer, so i'm thinking the price difference won't be too bad

3 on 1 is cheaper, it's using less colors
- horton
its late and i can't call the printer... so give me your best guess;
what do you think is cheaper:
- 3 color front, 3 color back (repeating exact front art)
or...
- 3 color front, 1 color back (different art front & back)
make sense? i'm guessing the 3 on 3 repeated option is cheaper because its the same setup, but i could be totally wrong.
