Hey guys - anyone know how to change the incriments on the actual rulers...not the grid. It seems like the ruler display is always geared for inches, the numbers at least. 0 - 36 - 72 - 108 ...is there no way to make it 0 - 10 - 20 - 30... or even 0 - 50 - 100?!

preferences > units & display > inches, cm, mm, etc.

That's exactly what I mean Point5, the incriments...I'm thinking there is actually no way to change them, which is dumb.

don't think we've crossed paths on NT before?

I know how to change the units! By the way, for those who don't know, you can also just right-click on the ruller, much quicker than going to preferences.
I want to know if it is possible to change the incriments on the ruller itself, the numbers!

i don't think you can change the numbers on the ruler..
sounds like you're working at a big scale.. how about working at a 1:10 scale or something.

draw a ruler in illustrator, print it out, glue it to the edges of your monitor with liquid nails.

The Illustrator incrments are dependant on the zoom level you are using. And unfortunatly they are hardwired into the app. But try diff zoom levels and you might find a more suitable increment set.

yeah i wish you could set the top left corner to 0,0 so it would be the same as flash.

you can...just click/drag the interesection of the x and y ruler axis to wherever you want it and that becomes 0,0
