I certainly wouldn't take anything away from the sacrifices troops have made through the generations.
But you're way off on American intention in WWII. WWII and Iraq are apples and oranges anyhow.But I've been on this board long enough I know not to even go there with you garretwest. I'd rather slam my jock in the door a few times. So skip it.

A few (2) wars we've been in were questionable or unjustified but no one can really sit there and tell me Iraq isn't better off now that Saddam is out.

Maybe, but war isn't the only way to depose a leader. Plus, there are far more dangerous places in the world with far more human right abuses.
