does anyone know what does the line spacing in flash equal to in points?...I'm trying to set up a base line grid. it measures point size of type just the same as point sizes in other programs but when it comes to leading and kerning. it won't do it in decimals. nor does it match up with the way you set up your leading ...like 16 pt won't look like 16 pixel leading in flash ...help anyone...thanks

Flash leading is retarded, plain and simple.
I use png templates from my PSD comps and set the leading by comparing visuallly what I did in Photoshop.
Anyone know if they improved ANY graphic tools in Flash 8?

The typography tools are supposed to be better, and I think they are a little... but haven't had a chance to play with it much.

on second thought, i take that back, i think the only thing that is better is the rendering of the type.

I feel your pain. I tried to do a similar thing with a baseline grid sort of thing in flash. Not sure of a way around it.
Typesetting in flash is so bad.

No, right?

no there isn't a css attribute for lineheight...flash won't read it...this is a pain...i thought flash would have taken care of this by now...
