http://pastebin.coconut.se/?id=4…It works fine as long as I dont hit the "Render txt as HTML" button.
WTF? Help anybody?
- unfittoprint0
use
ldr.onLoad = function() {
_root.myText.html = true;
_root.myText.htmlText = ldr.a;
}instead?
- armed_rob0

flash doesn't understand all html tags, i.e it has no idea what this means and this is probably yr problem.
have a look in flash help or macromedia site but it only supports a few like p,img,a...etc
- armed_rob0
But I got no problem loading the content, only the scrolling part.
- UndoUndo0
what happens to the scroll? does it become clunky or stop altogether.
- unfittoprint0
the problem is that it cannot parse some of those tags.
supported html tags:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/f…

nothing at all happens.

check mr unfittos post ^^
- armed_rob0
so what you are saying is that these guys uses too many html tags in their CMS?
But there is a scroller on their content.
By the way its free til 15. of November.

This is not my area of expertise and I love the action script submit form, but why not also post your working swf, so we can see exactly what happens.

just because the site is in flash it doen't mean to say that it is using flint. is flint targetted to flash? seems very odd as the html you showed isn't supported in flash 7 or lower
- armed_rob0
If you go "showcase" on the flint site they say that:
Pure Flint:
This site :)
Even the forms on the "buy now", "trail" and "contacts" sections were added to the contents using Flint.That must mean all contents is added in flint!?
I contacted them to get some scoll code.

they use a movieclip scroller on their site.. i guess?!?
are you embeding the font? could be the problem... ever tried it with a systemfont...arial...verdana...
ever tried with another font?
- UndoUndo0
did you read the link unfit posted. cos if they expect flash to parse that html and not create you problems I'd maybe look elsewhere

i just ran into the same thing with flash/html/scrollbar...best to keep html out of the mix (or very limited use), if you want it to work proper.
- armed_rob0
I did read it... but I mean if they offer a CMS they gotta be able to put a scrollbar on the content.
If not its not worth it...
So I guess I need 2 wait for their answer.
thanx
