yesterday i was with a friend when she locked her keys out of her car. we walked to her apartment [i was wearing 3.5 inch heels] and someone brought the keys there.
THEN last night i locked my own keys into my car!
in an attempt to break in i think i broke the passenger side lock. [the driver's side lock was already broken].
now when i want to get into the car i have to crawl in through the hatchback!

nothing more sexy than a girl in heels trying to break in to her own car
man, if you could see me right now..

won't your insurance fix the locks?
- anzelina0
i don't know if they'll fix it or not, i should look into that...

i'm sorry but... HAHAHA!

I don't even understand how you do that.. Does it have auto-locking?
- anzelina0
i left my keys in the ignition and got distracted.
then i manually locked the doors.

yeah, i started this thread for laughs, not for pity.
it's so ridiculous, 2 locking outs in one day.
and you should see the procedure of getting into the car. it's hilarious. bypassers have got to be puzzled.

(Oct 24 05, 11:11)haha, yeah I have to laugh at this mental picture. It is kind of like the Dukes of Hazard if they drove hatchbacks.
Locking yourself out does suck though I've done it a bunch of times. I usually just call a locksmith and insurance reimbures me.
- jox0
so how did you get out of the car? lol
- anzelina0
i can unlock / lock the doors from the inside, but not the outside.
i exit normally, it's just getting in that's the hard part.

with todays cars you can take a wedge and pry the upper corner of your door out just enough to puch a coat hanger or 'hook' through.
grab hold of the handle with the hook and pull.
a cop had to do it to my car a while ago and it seriously took him all but 10 seconds. he made me time him. he said his record was 8. hahaha. i'm like just be carefull and don't break shit. his response was 'sign the waiver and step back just in case.' aaaaah!

The last jalopy I had one of the doors jammed and I had to crawl in from the other side. When I traded it in to finally get a decent car the dealer said 'I guess I can give you $100 for it' while laughing his ass off.
