So my trip to Miami this weekend has been scrapped. No women, drinking or late night partying...we at least not in Miami.
But with the money I saved not going, I can now afford to buy an iPod. I sold mine a while back and I'm looking for a new one.
Should I...
Get the 4G nano for $249, or the 30G iPod w/ video for $299 (minute an educational discount)?
I try to go to they gym often, so a nano could be nice, but I will be traveling to Miami again in Nov. and Dec., so maybe the iPod w/ video is better?
Has anyone tried both?

tough choice! oh wait! the 30gig without a doubt! 4 gigs of music ain't shit.

persnoally i think the ipod video is stupid. like i really want to watch video on that tiny screen, and how do you even watch it, you would have to hold the ipod up to watch. (same goes for psp)
i would get the nano. its nanofriffic

give the money to hurricane relief

Sure...bring on the guilt.
Actually I already gave, and if something bad happens to Miami I'll be there to help.
As for the iPod video watching screen being small...it's still an iPod and it's not being marketed as an iPod Video, it's the iPod w/ video capability.
But that said, I was talking to our IT guy yesterday who sorta had a good point. Watching the smaller screen is kind of like watching a TV from 10ft away. You can still see and hear everything.

thats a no brainer.

I think the answer is pretty obvious, too...but why even have the nano then?
To be totally honest, I actually sold my 10gig 3rd generation iPod because I wanted something smaller that I could take to the gym, but for $50 more I don't see why anyone would go for the nano.
Personally, I'd consider the nano if it were like $100 less or something, but it's looking like iPod w/ video...anyone have it yet?

who cares the size if it's on your waist, I throw basketballs at people with them on theiir arm, it bothers me for some reason.

then there's the earthquake victims
- CincodeMayo0
I wouldn't be caught with it on my waist or arm...but I used to just hold it in my hand while running.
I think I got rid of my old one cause it was pretty bulky and heavy to run with, but the new one looks a lot thinner.
Oh, and I got the earthquake victims covered. Maybe I should donate to the homeless?
- version30
i got that covered Cinco, I was just teasing. stay safe and stay rockin'
:)

Do you have vertically challenged people covered as well? How about warmth challenged people in Alaska? And Minnesota?
Rock on, and be careful.

I just bought the 5G ipod tonight...went in thinking I was going to buy a nano..but it actually felt too small. Tiny clickwheel.
Tell you what though..the new 30gb ipod is at most, 1.5 times as thick as the nano. The thing just feels incredible.

get the iPorn

I tried jogging with a 3rd gen 20gig, but it kept pulling my pants down.
I think the nano is great if you don't have a lot of mp3's (I have 3 gigs)
It's so portable, I love it.

can't forget the tsunami victims... or has that passed?
- CincodeMayo0
It passed...but I'm sure another one is around the corner.
Thanks for the feedback. The nano looks really cool, but I have a lot of music.
And if the 30gig is only 1.5 times the size of the nano, that's good news...no more pants down for me!
