There were actually two Chuck E. Cheese costumes. One was "urban" and consisted of baggy jeans and a jersey and the other was his formal wear--which was a tux or something.
I remember walking around hi-fiving kids and without fail, some kid would lift the costume leg and start crying that there was a person under there. It was actually my favorite aspect about dressing up...after the dancing that is.

i got told off by chucky cheese for pulling on his tail - i was mortified.
i was 10 and it was 19 years ago!
aah, fond memories - it was a lot of fun at that age and the pizza we had was awesome.

near my town there is a chuck e cheese, years ago, it was called showbiz pizza - i went once and was totally freaked out by the robotic animal band playing on stage - it was truly creepy.

The worst part is the video that they looped all day was only about 6 minutes long. Which means on a 9 hour shift you would hear the same songs and dialogue almost 100 times.
I would hear those songs in my sleep.
