I put in a CD-R in my cd player, but it wont eject, It just thinks about about it and freezes the program up that i am ejecting it with. Is there anyway to manual eject on a Powerbook?

Restart your mac and hold down the eject button. I had some CDs stucked, and that's how I solved my problem.
Restat+eject button (keep holding it down until you hear the CD being ejected)

system>library>core> services>menu extras. Inside that folder, double click on Eject.menu
It will now appear on your menu bar.
