somehow I don't think a skate video woud have the budget for motion control cameras and set up at all those different locations...

look at all the shots.. totally controlled camera pans etc... if you watch any other skate vids none of the footage is this calculated.
if they were just fudging out the boards there would be a ton of different angles, on-board footage, etc.

they have a demonstration of how it was done in the yeah right extras. motion control with green boards. Exactly what has been mentioned before. Spike has plenty of money and he is part owner of Girl.

Sho Nuff. It's Spike great prodigal return to Girl. He did mouse and that old chocolate movie then went off and blew his shit up with tons of music videos and then features.
So now the dude's back. And he brought Motion Control and some other custom rigs. And money.
I wonder what they shot that on. HD I suspect.

If you watch it, notice that the camera is only ever panning from a stationary position. No movement of the tripod or camera housing, etc.
Yeah Right has been out more than 1 1/2 years now, crazy how people still keep discovering that.

Spike Jones did a great job for that flick, all the green screened ramps were funny too. I Always liked the segment in it where the skaters keep passing the skateboard to eachother from scene to scene.

If there is a skatecompany which has lots of money, it is probably the Girl/chocolate/Lakai/fourstar/cr... and whatnot crew.
Definately motion tracking.
This video has to be one of the best skatevideos concerning editing and filming...oh and skating too.
