jamble you would be lucky to get a small one bedroomed flat for that much in Edinburgh matey, It's a shambles, deisl keeps going up after a promise it wouldn't and yet another tax has been put on our savings by that money grabbing Gordon Brown, Still though theres plenty of people wanting to come here and get our benefit system to help them out, so it can't all be bad right?.

Yeah I know chossy, it's no different here in Leeds to be honest. I know a large part of my housing choice was due to the area being good for rentals etc so I know I'll have no trouble selling but it pisses me off I didn't have the foresight to have bought 5 years ago when the same house would have been £45,000 less!

I don't know to be honest. I think the TV licence is need of a real shakeup. I barely watch the bbc other than a bit of news in the morning which I'd happily not watch because I could watch something else on cable.
I don't listen to the radio at all, I do however use the bbc website a lot but again for news and football, both of which are available elsewhere.
I feel while it represents decent value for money if you actually watch a lot of the bbc or listen to radio etc, if you don't, it's £150 down the shitter so sad tossers can watch eastenders 58 times a week.

Do they get it for free? I mean, just cos you don't pay for BBC America or Worldwide directly in your cable package, does that mean that the cable companies aren't paying something to the Beeb to include it in their portfolio of channels? Now BBC online... that's something different...

I can't live without the Beeb - maybe you don't watch all that much stuff, but it sets a tone and quality for the whole of British broadcasting - would C4 show so much quality stuff if it didn't have BBC2 to compete with? The BBC is a vitally important global resource and, as such, I'm pretty happy to pay for it.

I only watch Discovery channel, National Geographic, sci fi, and movie channel if pirates of the caribean is on, I only watch the BBC for Nature Docs.

I have a freind that works for B.A.E scary stuff he tells us stuff we shouldn't know and it doesn't help you sleep at night, basically they have a weapon for anything. Like Bill Hicks said 'This shit leaves nothing behind but the fillings in their teeth'.
