so I have this font i've been working on in photoshizzle. now the process, as i understand it, is to create outlines of the font in adobe streamline, then import the results into illustrator to touch up the vectors before copying them to fontographer or font lab.
are there any other alternatives to this process? i don't have a copy of streamline, so i'm kind of stuck here.

what version of adobe software are you currently running? Adobe CS has autotrace which will save SOME time.
You might want to download the trial version of this as a short term solution:

if you have the font, couldn't you just create outlines in illustrator(under type>create outline). or is it a photo?

i'm using photoshop 7 to create the font
i also have illustrator 8. (yeah, i know). i'd upgrade to 10 or even CS, but this is the sole reason to own is is just for creating these damn outlines.

if you try to make a font from autotraced shapes it will look like shit.
plain and simple.
you would have better luck importing your raster images into a vector program such as freehand, illustrator or corel and starting from scratch again.
illustrator will copy paste into fontlab and corel will export to ttf

ps->illi->fontlab

that sounds like a good plan, next time just construct it in illustrator so you don't have to do the converssion
