paragraphs in flash

hey so i'm using flash 8 and i still can't get the type in a paragraphof text to look crisp. the edges of the type still vibrates. i'm using meta ...and i tried a pixel font. can anyone help?....oh and does anyone know about creating font symbols?...does it embed the fonts in your SWF file or is it just the outlines?

meta at what size?
probably needs to be 21 pts or larger to look crisp. Use a pixel font and make sure it's on a whole pixel.

also remember to have the location of the paragraph origin to a whole number; like x coordinate is n where n is either negative or positive (1, -4, 8 etc) and not 1.3, or .5, etc. same with the y coordinates.

and make sure that you're using the top left corner of your textbox to get your coordinates (use the info window to change the point at which you get your coordinates).

yeah everything is set at the right coordinates and all ...is it because i have black type on a white background that it is doing these vibrating colors around the type?

(Oct 5 05, 13:09)then you need to find a diffirent typeface that displays the way you want at the specific size you want.
but if it's small, you'll be better off using a pixelfonts.

i guess that might have to be ...i have it at 12 point...it's not that small...but i think the meta is not a great screen font ...anyone know any beside verdana, tahoma , and georgia?

does the tracking set at .5 mess it up? or seting the leading or the kerning at a decimel mess it up ...would clicking autokern help?
