I saw the ad a few times last year then heard the album and that track jumped right out - to the point where I couldn't play it without thinking of the ad.
Someone mentioned the album today at work and I mentioned the Honda commercial track but they don't think it's the same but I do, I'm looking for confirmation either way.

I'm thinking they borrowed a huge chunk of FSOL - the connection between psychedelic theme of the ad and the album is fairly strong.
Anyone else think so?

I think it's reminiscent. Not a rip but there is a LOT of that going on in TV ads lately. I wish I could think of some examples. That was an ad great enough to hold off on branding at the end. The brand ends up being the payoff because of the curiousity built. Hard to pull off.
