I sent an estimate to a freelance client for a template only design. With it clearly stated that they would have someone in-house fill in content once I delivered the final template designs. The estimate was approved and I was given the green light to design. The final designs were sent over last week on disk along with my invoice.
I just received an email from the client saying that they were under the impression that for "that price" I was going to fill in the content as well as design the templates.
I emailed back the original estimate where it clearly states template design and even copy/pasted an email where I stated it again how they were going to fill in content.
So that's where it is right now. I haven't heard back yet. I don't want to get into a pissing match but also don't want to get low balled after they agreed to a price.
Any ideas on what I should do from here?
thanks,
bB

give them aprice to add the content?

Tell them to stop being chancers and pay up as per the original agreement stated on more than one occasion.
Or as suggested, give them another price for adding content.

stick to the original agreement.

complete one page then make duplicate pages for htem and name them accordingly.
then all they have to do is copy/paste their own text.
sucks for them yes, but what would somebody do for you if the situation was reversed? prolly not much so...
