hey folks, i'm an art director with 7 years work experience in bigger brands (web/motion/print) and would like to know what i can earn over there in california. maybe i'll move cause i live in germany and i'm totally pissed of because sky outsite is grey 69%time of the year. so to deatin me from suicide, please let me know what i could earn over there. thankss. !

I agree, starting at 60K and up. But life in CA is f'ing EXPENSIVE!!!

depends on where in california.
i think you have better chance of making more $$ in sf due to cost of living being high, then again, you'll waste a lot of $$ living in sf.

i live in san jose, work in san francisco, and have a girlfriend in oakland. which basically means i cross bay boarders on a very regular basis. the one thing i've noticed about the weather lately, is that it's grown horrible inconistant. jacket weather one day. hot hot hot the next. i learned the benefit of layering clothes.
