It is an extremely beautiful city, but I only visited museums while there. I could not help think what it used to be like before the war since they only rebuilt a small portion of the original city.

actually dresden is grey and sad. look for the alternative part of the city, some nice stores and some nice bars. in one day you will be the master of the city

Dresden is a quite nice and relaxed city. What do you want to do? If you like some tips drop me a line. You should find a place to stay in so called "neustadt" (that alternative part) but the older part is interesting as well. It really has some nice sites! I don´t know of any places you shouldn´t go just because you foreign.. So let me know what you are up to, and I can give you some ideas.
