Anyone prefer this 'medical' show to others? This one seems more risky, sexual, thoughtful, radical, and inventive compared to other shows, such as ER.
Nip/Tuck is about plastic surgery, so maybe that's why it's so different. B/c it's about looks and how people perceive themselves and others.

i enjoy the hyper-reality. the twisted plots, flawed characters, and as Jaline mentioned sexual themes are entertaining. unless you have had the misfortune to be seduced by your transgender life coach.

It's entertaining because it's so twisted, but I wouldn't call it a medical show.

See, I wouldn't normally call it a medical show. But it's one of the first shows, if not THE first, to show the good and the bad about plastic surgery. In fact, to even show REALLY graphic, disgusting plastic surgery. I think if I were to watch some of the special features on how they do the special surgery effects, then I would be more convinced. Of course, they have to keep the show twisted and excessively dramatic to keep it going.
