it may be hard for some people to understand, but it's difficult to be open and frank about being attracted to men in this and practically any other society around the world. not only are you boxed as effeminate and weak but you can be certain that other hetrosexual men will react to you different, if not with down-right hostility. i've seen that happen to alot of people. all the cunts who are taking the piss with "half-french" societies and "balck haired people" etc. shold get a clue. it's agnoising for young adolescent men to come to terms with their sexuality when the only sexual models they have is their hetrosexual parents and constant gay-jokes at school. this uneases doesn't just dissappear. you only gotta look at NT for the amount of gay-piss takes that go on around here (and, i have to admit, i'm responsible for many).
i think its great that you're coombining your passion and love for art/design with asserting your sexual identity.
i'm sure you've got many many emails from NT'rs who wanna help but daren't be open about it under their normal screen names.

and funnily enough the number of homophobic responses to this thread totally prove the point of the joke, if it is one.

Why moan that society rejects you, then shuffle off to your own exclusive society? I can't begin to imagine what it's like for you.
Isn't art the only place where you can be accepted regardless of your past? Think ex-gangsters, ageing 'rockstars' and cross-dressers.
The type of art you speak of that shocks - why does it shock? The only thing I can think of is if it's gay pornography or erotic art, but then hetero stuff can shock people.

This is by far no joke, but 1 reason im starting the org is because i think it would be motivational for some who are not out to see how many artists they like are gay + i have also asked for feedback on ads and whatnot ive done for gay clubs + bars etc from straight friends and there view point is not the same. there are many reasons which i dont expect straight people to understand but there should be some stuff up soon online for it.
