has anyone had any experience using an airport express with xbox live? i have a similar set up with a netgear router/airport extreme and am thinking of getting an airport express to also make the xbox wireless.... thanks in advance

you've got to configure the router first (sorry if you know this, i didn't!).. plug your router into your computer via ethernet and then bring up the routers config page in a web browser and put in your details to connect. After that stick the ethernet in AE.

yeah. i can get the internet through ethernet when its just plugged into my computer. its just when i plug in into the airport express.

mine just sniffed it out. maybe something to do with your WEP passwords or sumin

I have an Airport Express, but just use it independently of the router, connected my stereo (but joining the router's wi-fi network). It can also be used as an Airport network extender, or as a wireless access point on an ethernet connection.... Is that all the things you can do with it?

If I buy AirPort Express, will I be able to connect my PSP to a wireless network?

I wouldn't buy an Airport Express just to act as an access point (except for travelling)....there's cheaper and better wireless-routers.
PSP can connect to Wi-Fi networks.

the same issue has ocured with a friend, everything worked fine until he re-named and now it only works with itunes and it works again when ethernet is pluged straight in but not AE.
Any help is welcome.
Dancer, I got a Netgear 4 port WiFi router (fairly easy to set up), cheaper than AE except it doesn't do USB Printing or AirTunes but I'm not planning to do either as printer is hardwired to desktop and iPod is the stereo.

Netgear combo wireless-routers are good quality and cheap and nice setup interface. I would only buy an Airport Express for what it does well, which is being connected to a stereo for airTunes, or as an access point when travelling (connecting to a hotel ethernet port for example), or for extending a wireless network. For a fixed internet access solution, I'd go for a Netgear wireless-router which has the additional benefit of 4 ethernet ports.
