Fuck I need broadband. NT is as slow as a snail's butt here.
*grind grind grind*

is there a cable or dsl provider in your hood?

I had to deal with that this summer, when I went back home for a bit. My folks live in a rural area so no dice on the high speed.
56k is hell. Even something as simple as checking email was tourture.

maybe you should move away from the northpole

If NT was coded properly it wouldn't matter much.
But yeah- once you go broadband you can never go back.

thats sad. sometimes I have to use a modem for a few days when changing broadband providers... it's like 1996 all over again...
(dial)... sssssssshhhhhh... doing... whaarpp.. sssssshhhh...

Most americans are on dial up modems.
Canada actually has one of the highest rates of households with broadband.

I dont know anyone who has dialup.

Anyone who lives a short distance out of the city can only get dialup. Either that or expen$ive satellite.
When I visit my parents, I have to endure 56 speeds... ugh. There's just nothing else available for them!

wow, did not know that.
the last few years almost every last little village and farm here has access to normal broadband..
hmm..
- Crouwel0
that is the Netherlands, sorry.
did not know there's so many people in the US without..
surprises me.
