how did you fix?

if firefox crashes and tells you to save your profile out. ctrl + alt + delete and then end process on firefox. then you wont loose them, not sure how to get them back though. but i know i have lost mine that way before.

well I even did a system restore on XP back to when I had bookmarks and they are still not there.
Guess I lost them forever

always save your favorites.html file every month or so and that won't happen. I learned the hard way as well.

if its the same that happened to me do this:
1. make a new profile
2. open the shortcut properties and in the target add this: -P
like this:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P
3. close firefox
4. click on the shortcut again, and it should appear a window where you can choose the profile you want, if it stills says the profile is in use or something, restar you pc then should work
5. delete the -Pgood luck

Sorry to use your thread for this Garus, but i thought everbody could learn from that:
pls can anyone tell me, how to BACKUP my bm quick style? do i have to collect each one in a text file, or do i dragdrop them in a folder on my desktop? couldn't find any "save" bm command.
thx for the help

do a search for 'bookmarks.html' on your machine, then back that html doc up.
the file is most likely in your 'documents and settings' folder.

can't you just manage your bookmarks and go to the export function? save it as u want as an html site and email it to your web based email. that way no matter where you are u got your links!
cheers alien, great suggestion ;)
