I was looking into purchasing a new LCD monitor. I have a G4 powerbook and would like to take advantage of the DVI connection. What monitors are out there that work well?
I've already researched the Apple Cinema displays and the Dell Line of LCDs, but are their any others I should check out before I make a decision?

I love my Samsung 191T... I think they've updated the model... it's called 193T or something... It's inexpensive and really nice.

(back on the dell track)...
if you're gonna get a dell, don't get the el cheapo monitors. get 1901, 2001, 2405, etc...i use a 2405 and it's nicer than the plexi bezel'ed apple display i used.

you can't go wrong with any of the Dell's. I've got a 24" and 20" (had to get the older one, as two of my older machines don't support the widescreen - still really nice, though).
Look at www.techbargains.com for discounts. You should be able to get it for less than $500. I've seen it as low as $430 and the 24" as low as $800.

http://www.pricewatch.com should also help you find those cheap cheap bargains...
For the record, Dell is the largest seller of LCD monitors in the world, followed by Samsung... not that that's any indication of quality, but they sure are popular.

I just got 2 2005FPW's for $449 each - and its the best thing Ive done in a long time. There is a little ghosting in the VGA signal, but Im pretty sure my video card is the culprit. The DVI signal is the clearest I've ever seen from my Mac.
