There is a really great army commercial I saw a while back, I've been trying to find out which agency did it, Bruckford Agency maybe?
Anyway, it starts with this all american looking kid in a highschool classroom and there are a group of middle eastern looking kids pointing to him and snickering (making fun of him?). So all of a sudden, the scene transforms into a desert and the kid is now dressed in army fatigue with a rifle chasing the middle eastern kids down an alleyway, you hear a bunch of loud bangs and then some really cool graphic treatment comes on screen and it finishes
Anyway, it looks a lot cooler than I'm explaining it.

The worst part is each time you want to watch a news clip they show the same spot.
Bad propaganda!!

you guys make absolutely no f*cking sense, one minute complaining about the level of poverty that exists in certain parts of the USA and the next complaining about a way out for some of those same people, yes the Military. It's an education in itself.
of course the US is going for the neck in its foreign policy (including invading Iraq), it's the nature of game.
lol

Hooray! I can be dead instead of poor!

BTW, tell that to my late Grandfather, late Great Uncles, Father and numerous Uncles for risking their @sses (preserving some level of your freedom) while being in the Army. Regardless of whether it was because of a draft or not.

" yes the Military. It's an education in itself."
oh hell yes...............
.

tell that to the inner city people that join the Military and work in telecommunications for example.
They get out and are so highly trained using both the latest hardware and software they land 70K jobs without a college degree.
Yeah it's a risk, but hey it's the only way out for some people.

A sad fucking country where the only way out of poverty is killing people for dubious reasons.
- welded0
And there's absolutly no way the government is going to spend a fraction of what is spent on defense every year to try and address the poverty issue in a meaningful way. There aren't a whole lot of options, so I guess that must mean you're right...

Sure, but that's the reality we live in, you learn to adapt and cope with it and find a way out. If the military works and that's one of your few choices, then, hey, do what you have to do to survive or improve yourself.
- welded0
//Well, shit happens and it aint going to change, so just accept it.
- ********0
//Or rather just make counterfeit money or sell drugs to survive, that's better

You got me. There's no penetrating the iron logic.
