I don't think I stuck it to him. I think I educated him. I did have a good genial relationship with the guy, so what I said seemed appropriate. Not sure I would pull it off in a cold situation without coming across as a jerk myself. I was a bit insulted by where he was coming from and the Beethoven thing just popped into my head..

working for big companies. alot of times the creative does not get to fight for their ideas and the account executive just agrees with the client as much as possible to keep their good paying commissions. so granted they both get paid just one also makes the client feels like ass by calling them out on yes you can do it once its already done for you sorta thing
