has anyone seen the hundreds of prisoners in and outside a severely flooded prison without a roof?
a few hundred or so were sitting on a ramp of some highway or something.. guarded ofcourse..

What's going on in NOLA is a very unfortunate situation. A lot of the people that didn't evacuate couldn't because they're so poor. Watching a man in his 30's crying last night on the news about how his wife got swept away by the water and he couldn't save her. I almost cried just watching that.

i am tired of seeing negativity. shit is bad, people are dead, dying and homeless. not just here, but everywhere. where it happens has nothing to do with anything. human misery is human misery.
making cracks about someones religious beliefs when something like this occurs is uncalled for and insulting even to atheists. what do you hope to accomplish by stating something like that?
we have so many refugees here in our homes... many of them have no place to go home to. listen to a person (christian or not) talk about losing everything and then see if you can make wisecracks around the lump in your throat.

I"m in dallas and several community centers are taking in hundreds to ppl from New Orleans. Alot of ppl are seperated from their families. A very sad situation...
