Why does an eps file get really pixelated when you import it to AE? Do I have something intiated when it shouldn't. I haven't rendered the comp yet so, Am I OK?
Thanks

do you have the quality switch in the timeline on high quality?

Just enlarge it in Illustrator. And put a big box around it with no fill and no stroke if you're going to blur it or put other filters on it.

Click the button to the left of the quality button for that layer. This will continually rasterize the file no mater how big/small you make it...
You can also apply filters to it while it's rasterizing.

Rightfrog, was my advice off?

In the new version of After Effects you don't need to enlarge the eps file in Illustrator in order to apply filters to it...you can now apply filters to rasterized eps files without needing to pre-comp them...
