clean but blog or software interface come to mind. Do a few more comps and then see. blow us away.

if you're going to go clean, go clean...get rid of the background/embellishments on the buttons etc
- jevad0
play more with colors and type - its too monochrome... and hard to filter through

I agree... this seems a bit standard. Try to push yourself a little more and always come up with more than one option no matter how great the first one is.
If the idea is really good it'll hold up, if it's not at least you'll have something better.

I actually like your identity with the Emigre font and the cleanness. If you go with this layout, I would animate it somewhat. Also, you may not be planning to keep it this way, but I would go with one layout for the case studies instead of two different ones.

Also I would integrate all of your copy at the top ("Click" and the rest) into one box instead of two and play around with adding some color to it.

Can About and Contact be refined into one section?
Or add them as utilities (along with home), they don't need to be primary navigation."news" is probably pretty important, place it closer to the top of the page, it may be below the fold for some people.
Don't use the same font treatment/color for links and headings.
Add News to your primary navigation

consider losing the bevels on the buttons of the main content div (the nav is fine)

People have made some valid suggestions here...
My main question is "why are you redesigning your site?"
Your current site it concise, intriguing, and easy/quick to navigate.
I like to think of design as problem solving... What "problems" in your old design is your new design solving?
I'd say that your new design is much more generic (and uninteresting) than your old design... I'm sure that Jakob Nielsen would completely disagree with me, though.
I'm assuming this is what you're redesigning: http://www.iqfoundry.com/

Whoah. That really put it in perspective. Yeah - keep the old site.

Yeah, I pretty much hate this comp a this point. I want to build a bit more traditional site that is html based--ie search engine friendly.
The flash site is flashy, and it's a lot of what I do--but a pain to keep updated and current.
Everybody seems to love it though. I need to do something as unique.
Hm...

give your type some variations for levels of importance and loose the gradients
- iqfoundry0
Thanks... I think I'm going to kill this guy and work on something more flat without gradient.
Much appreciated.
