OK, sorry guys, but this was a great rant I just read:

'then frankly I'm not going to waste the time trying to jam a rhetorical screwdriver into your pineal gland's butterfly valve and crank up the air flow.'
best quote ever

" I'm sorry to break your bubble but many of those American accomplishments you stated were by Christians.
A Judeo-Christian America accomplished all those feats. Not an Atheist America.
I'm not saying that Religion should be taught in school. I am simply refuting your point."

Don't go to emotional "bloggers" and left wing journalists for honest and accurate information on this issue. Instead, get the facts about the actual science and the claims of I.D....

discipler, instead of going to "emotional 'bloggers' and left wing journalists for honest and accurate information..." we should go to something just as cooky and propaganda-driven as ARN?
yeah. and that proteins in the flagellum are, and were only for flegelia...

jay, the point is that it's a hoot to sit around and chuckle with the bloggers who are perpetuating error, but what good is it accomplishing? All you get are people avoiding the real issues, ignorant of the science and who are desperately trying to make it into something political, when it ain't. Bush endorses it, so attack! Forget about the science, eh?

I think they are saying that people shouldn't confuse science and religion. That isn't forgetting about science.

religion has nothing to do with Intelligent Design. It's about the inference of design in biological systems - what science observes.

PAH! what does it matter? we are here. let's deal with it.
No doubt we have been formed from a heady mix of all the theories floating around - even aliens, after all we're already in space, and are surrounded by micro organisms (possibly some intelligent ones that can design) that came from 'up there'. there is no 'out there' or 'down here', it's one and the same thing.
nothing seperates us from the other creatures living here, other than we happened to mutate for what evolution/gia/god/allah/elhiom - (you know, those things we have no hope of ever fully understanding) thought would be a good thing, but we've fucked up and that same evolution/fate/gia/god will throw us away and something better will take our place.
GOD DAMN!
I'd better get some coffee.
