I was driving my hooptie yesterday in a strong flow of traffic and some idiot was riding his bike against traffic in my lane by the sidewalk. There were no cars in front of me but plenty to my left. The guy tried a slick move to get up on to the narrow sidewalk. Just as I was getting ready to pass the guy his manuver fucked up and he fell head first into my lane.
Visions of exploded watermelons came into my head as I swerved to the left - luckily the car next to me matched my move - I look in my rearview mirror in horror. I knocked the dudes hat off of his head - he got up and went on his way.
I was going about 40mph and certaily would have killed that guy - wow.

The worst part about it is, normally I would be all adrenalined out and shaking. I was super calm afterwards. Does that mean I knew before it happened everything would be fine or I have no soul.

...move to Europe where they drive on the opposite side of the street to avoid bike riders who ride on the wrong side of the street here.
