I love NT cooking threads. I made catfish and cinnamon sweet potatoes in knob creek bourbon on the grill.
we also did some italian beef in a slow cooker and used lebanese flatbread (almost like a tortilla) to serve that in.
god I drank so much whiskey this weekend if it werent for all of the food, Id have bit the dust for sure.

classic italian tomato sauce + penne:
penne pasta + a can of chopped tomato, tomato paste, garlic, origanum, olive oil and one whole carrot in a saucepan on low for 30-45 min. the longer and slower you let it simmer the richer it gets. the carrot is for taste, remove it afterwards. serve sauce over penne, or sear chicken breasts in a pan and serve with sauce over penne.

i came up with this while very poor in college.
sun-dried tomato pasta with red wine
simmer a palmful of sun dried tomatoes in a small amount of water to soften. while you do this, dice and fry a clove or two of garlic in olive oil and prepare whatever kind of pasta you have in the house. chop up the tomatoes and add with a splash of wine and red pepper flakes to the garlic pan and simmer a bit. when the pasta is ready just toss it in.
serve with any kind of hard grated cheese and some bread.
super easy, super cheap.

Tagliatelle with salmon and cream, very east to make, looks amazing and tastes even better, and theyll thing your a chef. dont forget to shave.
Heat up some butter, add a clove of chopped garlic till for a little while just before it turns colour.
Add 4 slices of chopped salmon for 2 minutes,Boil your tagliatelle, only takes 3 mins
Add the drained tagliatelle to the salmon in the pan, at very very vdery vdery low hear, add the double thick cream, and loads of pepper
Serve on a plate, add another 2 chopped salmon slices on the top with a good helping of chpped parsely so gice it some colour.
Total time about 10 minutes, lets just hope your laove making will ast longer...baby!

how many eggs is that for, as more eggs will cool the water down quicker. I love a nice cold boiled egg. I'm starving

how to boil an egg:
*seriously i just learned to boil an egg perfectly this is the way
bring a pot of water to a boil .. turn the heat off .. place the eggs in and let sit covered for 14 minutes
if your eggs have a greenish grey outer coating on the yolk that means they are overcooked ... that won't happen with this process
i boil a dozen on sunday and grab some in the mornings because i'm super lazy about breakfast
plus it's like easter all the time : D
