Doin a logo for a theatre company specialising in puppet and mask theatre (no dialogue).
They liked the concept of using a mask and the initial h+b so this is what we have come up with, any crit would be apreciated, good or bad.

Looked a bit like some jizz and a chair on a black disc. Wasn't that obvious that it's a mask, but I'm tired so it might just be me.

love the 'head.
not too sure about the typeface for 'hores + bamboo'
think '&' is better than '+'good work

doesn't look much like a mask, looks more like a couple of deformed sperm painted on a christmas bauble.
Also, you always seem to position your type very close to the 'mask'.. bit too tight imo

thanks peeps, never seen it as sperm before, but ill bear that in mind, ill defo give it a bit more space tho.
also i have to use a + instead of an ampersand, a prerequisit of the brief.

I would just look at the shapes around the eyes, perhaps add the hint of a nostril.. the line on the right eye doesn't seemt oto make sense, or at least needs looking at.
I do see it more now but at first I saw no face

maybe ditch the flourish on the top of the b and add a nostrill, ill get the workers to it!

I would try
horse + bamboo
instead of
Horse + Bamboo
(to make a more clear connection with the h + b in the mask)

i see it as a good beginning. sorry, but for me its too static, i mean, the balance between the mask and the typo. they look like two different thinks.... maybe making the typo bigger will give you the solution.....

you might need to redraw the bottom left side of the head, looks like he's got puffed out cheeks or somehting in his mouth....
