actually, the newer one seems a bit more dynamic because you see that with the CooterCover coming off, something is happening or gonna happen. There's not as much titilation and intrigue in the first one. what you get is what you get, where there is more mystery in the second.

the style between the 1st and 2nd version is still identical. the typography hasn't changed, the halftone style hasn't changed, and if you wouldn't have seen the 1st one at all, you would have been none the wiser. are you seriously saying that if you ONLY saw the 2nd version (the one with the thong) you would have really said "This poster totally misses the point! Punk rock is about girls NOT wearing underwear and this girl CLEARLY has underwear on! I hate it! It sucks!"???

punk is a rebellious counterculture. a girl teasing a thong is much more lad mag, it's sexy, it's alluring. not rebellious. i felt this thread really started with the complaint that punk isn't punk if someone tones it down. and i agree. punk rock however is just a genre of music for angry teens. ask jonny rotten which one he likes!
