i heard there's a farrakhan blvd in oakland with nothing but king of curls hairweave stations, beanpie stands under the freeway, and dudes in trenchcoats selling watches and paperback copies of how stella got her groove back.

if you're not getting faded up at home by a stylist with crip blue rollers and a shower cap over it, and if you're not served chicken and waffles afterwards as part of the package deal, and if you're stylist doesn't have her cell phone cut off in the middle of your session, then yo' weave is not authentic...

lets honor MLK who fought for our rights with a block of liquor stores, pawn shops, and check cashers

Too bad the above properties aren't owned by the people who have to live in those neighborhoods. And MLK fought for everyone's rights, you know. It's just that some take advantage of others. Everyone knows that the best place to open liquor stores, check cashing businesses and fast food retaurants is in the lower income areas. Those who are impoverished and uneducated will utilize those places the most. It makes the areas they live in a self perpetuating mess. A damn shame really. Sorry for the soap box, just in a blah mood I guess. Good shit as usual kingj...
