larger living space and parking. 15 minute drive to SF, or short BART ride. there's still great culture, dining, nightlife too.
and less theft. something i think SF is plagued by. especially if you have a car that you like.

cheaper, quieter, not as exciting as sf but you can actually park in front of your place, better parks(the east regional parks run the entire length of the easy bay hills), 20 minutes to the city by car, bus or bart.
you might like marin co. as well

my friend was born in raised in Marin county... he said it's one of the better parts of SF to live

marin is across the golden gate bridge, pricey but still cheaper then the city. nice hiking and coastal areas but very yuppie.

my grandma lived in marin for all of my life.
it's nice there. depends on if you want to live in the city or not. it being yuppie, I dont know, but it is a very beautiful part of california.

When we were in SF, in the city, I can't recall seeing grass anywhere, but saw tons of people with dogs.
It just seems humiliating to me to have to let a dog make it's number two on concrete, and it's owner have to pick it up with their plastic bag covered hand. Gross.

one of the best places in the world to live, IMO, used to be very hippy but then it was discovered and was all hot tubs, cocaine and benzos, not so bad I guess.
