Thanks Mayo, I got a traffic ticket in NJ on the way up here and I was trying to pay it online--it didn't work, so I naturally logged onto NT. We won't actually get to the Cape till Sat.

I was trying to be a writer, taking on various odd jobs including bartending and pulling jammed money out of atm machines with lines of poor people behind me in crowded inner city grocery stores

on the thread topic though, i think a lot of people just get burnt out in the agency environment, so they probably find something else to do that's less stressful. young people seem to put up with it more, but that's probably paying the dues (till they see that it's bullshit). some probably freelance. i know a few copywriters and project managers that are in their 40's and freelance now.
