okay, i just got a great new digital camera, the canon powershot SD500. i've figured out the obvious process of downloading photos from the camera to my hard drive. is there a way to get them back from my hard drive onto the camera?
the camera seems to act like a drive so it seems completely possible, but when i try to move the files to the camera they just won't go.
oh yeah, i'm on windows xp.
help, anyone??

weird, i know i could do that with my old sony cybershot, on a PB. but i could also do that on my dell.

use original software from camera instead of generic XP drivers.

i'm using the camera software and the files still won't go.
is it true that i'd have to go buy a memory card reader/writer in order to do this? i can't stand the thought of buying more camera accessories!!

try and zip them up and then drag and drop.
should work regardless though...weird.
are you drag/drop right on the little camera icon (not using any sofware)

off topic:
why would you want to do this?

yup, i've dragged and dropped in every possible location and it just doesn't want to accept the file.
to answer the off topic question...
it's for a number of reasons, mostly i want to be able to put some images back onto my camera so that i can have them with me to look at or to show people.

I would say use XP drivers over the cameras'....... The generic Mass Storage Driver should let you do this..
