it's such a pain to carry your surfboard and take a train... wish i have a car.
i think i am gonna just take a long vacation and do it while i am stayin on the beach.

hey TK, http://www.zipcar.com/
- tkmeister0
hmm, zipcar, interesting. $69/day...
anyone you know use this?
- jdcomba0
yeah, my friendd in brooklyn uses this for surfing as well. he has always had a good experience.

I swear by going to the Cape. There are actually some nice swells there right now. Franklin is going to have some nice stuff too once it gets above the Cape.
You NEED a wetsuit on the Cape. A friend who said that wetsuits are for fags nearly got hypothermia surfing for 29 minutes last summer, so look out.
Have fun learning!

Surfing in Massachusetts is like skiing in Pennsylvania.
LBI is definitely a wonderful place to visit, howerver the waves there are inconsistent at best. If you do find yourself there though, drive north a few miles from the bridge to the Harvey Cedars water tower and park right under it (on the Blvd.) Plus, it's south of Point Pleasant, so you can always stop at Bellmar on the way home and dance with guidos.
Strong Island is your best bet. If I were you, I'd train it to L.I. and maybe rent a cadillac of a board from a local shop out there?

forgot lbi, harvey cedars.
you grew up in jers?
- F_180
yeah, all my life. lived in san diego for just over 2 years. lbi is ok, surfed cedars a few times, but man is that place crowded in the summer. its not even worth it unless its after sept. or before may.
- jdcomba0
well, yeah, for sure, but everywhere gets pretty crowded. last summer i was surfing belmar all the time, and not only does it get crowded, but those locals are dicks. eh, whatever. it's funny though, as soon as the hurricane swell cl3ears out, so does the lineup.
