ok. dont take this the wrong way i mean it in a postive way and i know others say they like it. But alotof the work in your portfolio is great and thats why i think i dont really like the site even more now then when i first looked at it. It seems like you could do alot better. it might just be me. I'm just trying to be honest and helpful.

lovely work work

'work work'? wtf?

the work is wonderful. very well done. i wish the navigation was easier because its hard to remember which thumbnail was clicked last. maybe a "next" and "previous" button under the images can take care of that.
i especially loved this piece:

next and previous is a good suggestion for the navigation. If you are going to have back to main as the only navigation option then there is no sense having all the thumbnails next to the larger image, if the intention is for the user to go back to them.
As well, considering the thumbnails dont communicate much, I would suggest opting for a tpyographic approach to the menu, lighter weight, and honestly I think a name or kind of work description would communicate more to the viewer—Allow them to make some decisions based on some kind of criteria...

Cant believe no one has mentioned this - get rid of those tables. Tables are for data.
CSS is your friend - for type AND for layouts. http://glish.com/css/
good luck!

what letters said. it would be nice to know what those pieces are, when they were made, what for etc etc

to say it again, i haven't yet added the project descriptions.
any idea for the type treatment of these not yet done descriptions?
- emokid0
i'd suggest keeping it simple and easy to read. my type knowledge sucks though so there might be other much better suggestions.

Since your using Georgia, I gather for its widespread compatability, I would suggest staying consistent—but some scale and slightly more dynamic composition with the type could help immensely.
