i'm in covent garden. can hear lots of sirens and police helicopter was hovering for about 15 minutes between us and Centre Point ten minutes ago.

I've been watching the news broadcast on the bbc site and they claim an Arab agency that monitorAl Quaida say that it is almost certainly their work but I think it's a little early to take as gospel.
Tony Blair is due to address the nation at 12.

I don't think the olympics have anything to do with this. The change London would get it was pretty slim beforehand.
Besides it almost seemed "logical" and inevitable that London would be the next target, olympics or not.
