i've gotta help write some stuff about the company I work for that's going to be packaged in with a proposal for a fairly large project.
does anyone have any examples of how it should sound/look? I've got one example, but seeing something else might inspire me copy-wise.
i don't even know how this is supposed to be formattted, so any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

the last few large projects ive worked on, i hired a professional writer -- or two. i suggest you do the same. find some copywriters with web/print or motion proposal writing experience. they'll be able to give you the fluff you need. people get paid for that sort of work, though.
people get paid for proposals. and it seems as though there might be issues with posting or sending something that sensitive out to some random on the internets.

a good proposal will get you guys the job. its worth it for th ecompany you work for to spend 100 bucks for a couple hours of a writers time.
in return they'll make thousands on that investment. dont let them cheap on you.

yep. it doesn't look like they're going to spring for a writer...
bump?
please?

Keep it brief, succinct, and outlined. Have friends review it for copy that sounds akward. It has to get the point across quickly. Make sure your sections of content are clearly labeled across however many pages you have.

there is a need for consistant tone but depends on who the client and what the project is about.
in most cases, this is what you put in to the proposal..

fuck I hate writing proposals. I think I've written a couple hundred of them.
Basically, here's my architecture:
Hello
~Cover LetterExecutive Summary
~Outlining how you understand the projectProposed Solution
~ Usually point-by-point outlining the details. Basically almost exactly what you plan to doSitemap Breakdown
~ If it's a website then I break it down section-by-section and explain the content and functionality of each sectionProposed Budget
~ How much is this thing gonna cost?Corporate Profile
~ This is your company bioKey Team Members
~ Bios of each of the members you're going to put on the project. Show of force kinda thing.Portfolio
~ 3-5 case studies that are relevant to the gig you're trying to scoreClient List
~ Just a list of your previous clientsThankyou
~ Contact InfoI find that it works pretty well.
Good luck.
